A Foodie's Guide to Nashville

Let's be honest, 90% of the joy felt on a vacation (or staycation) is the food you consume. If you aren't talking about where to stop for dinner immediately after lunch, don't come on a trip with me. I'm all about the atmosphere, taste, and overall experience of the restaurant. I want the phrase "Well, this is cute!" along with "Oh my gosh...try this" to come out of my mouth in the same setting. So without further ado, let's dive into where and what to eat while in Nashville, TN.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast/Brunch | Liberty Common

Whether you're looking for a light or hearty meal, you're sure to leave happy after dining at Liberty Common. Their menu boasts the perfect mix of French and Southern cuisine offering everything from Housemade Pappardelle to Chicken & Waffles. However, I think it's their brunch options that made this spot number one on my list for breakfast. They have Cinnamon-Walnut Buttermilk Pancakes, Southern Fried Pickles, Brunch Burger (highly suggest) and more mouth-watering options. Plus, if you can snag a spot on their café patio, you're in for the full experience!

Here are some other places that have some of the best breakfast, brunch and coffee options:

  • Von Elrod's– (Germantown) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 10:00am – 2:00pm; Pretzel Monkey Bread w/ Cream Cheese Icing

LUNCH

Lunch | Superica

Located in the heart of The Gulch, Superica is a perfect stop for lunch amidst your sightseeing. If you're anything like me, you're in the mood for Tex-Mex at all hours of the day. If the idea of eating wood-grilled fajitas paired with chips and guacamole and sipping a cold margarita whilst basking in the sun on a patio is inviting....this is the place for you. Pair a Mexican Coke with Superica's Chicken Nachos. Thank me later.

DINNER

Barcelona Wine Bar is located in Edgehill Village and is one of my favorite dinner spots in Nashville. Their tapas style entrees allow you to get a little bit of everything.
